Help & Guide
How to use the RL Hatzalah CME sign-up app.
Signing in (no password)
There's no password. On the sign-in screen, enter your email, your unit number (your RL number), or your cell number, then choose Text me a link or Email me a link. Open the one-time link on your phone and you're in — it keeps you signed in for 30 days.
Tip: Texting a link needs a verified cell number on file. If SMS doesn't work yet, use email, then verify your phone from your profile (below).
Reserving a spot (RSVP)
- The home page lists this month's lectures. Use the arrows to change month.
- Tap Sign up on the date you want. Spots are limited; a full session shows Full with no button.
- Need to cancel? Open the event (or your profile) and tap Drop so a spot frees up for someone else.
- Some lectures run on more than one night — use Switch to move to a different night instead of dropping.
Checking in & out at the door
Attendance is by QR code at the venue — it replaces the paper sign-in sheet.
- On arrival: scan the Check IN code. Your phone confirms you're at the building (allow location when asked).
- When you leave: scan the Check OUT code. Some events don't need a check-out — the screen will tell you you're all set.
- Codes may only work for a window around the start/end time. If it's too early or too late, the screen says when it opens.
- Not on the list at the door? Ask a Chief to add you.
Forms & requests
The Forms menu (top of the page) is a “what do you need?” list — vehicle problems, incident reports, uniform/gear, Medical Board follow-ups, and more. Pick one, fill it in, and submit; the right people are notified automatically.
- Your name, unit, phone and email fill in for you— you don't have to retype them. Just double-check they're current.
- Forms only show the questions that apply — answer one and the next question appears.
- When you submit, you get a case number (like UIR-0007) on the confirmation screen — jot it down so you can reference your report if you follow up.
- You can see your own recent submissions (and their status) at the bottom of the Forms page.
- A few forms are marked Anonymous (e.g. Improvement Opportunity) — those don't record who you are unless you ask to be contacted.
Your profile & CME record
- Open My profile from the menu (top-right).
- Keep your cell up to date and verify your email and phone so reminders and text sign-in work.
- Your unit number is set by a Chief — ask one if it's missing or wrong.
- Your CME transcriptshows what you've attended and your standing on recurring requirements (e.g. CPR, the Shabbos Shiur series).
Subscribe to the calendar
From your profile you can subscribe to the schedule— it adds the lectures to your phone's calendar and stays up to date automatically (new events appear, cancellations drop off). When you RSVP, you also get a calendar invite by email.
